Changes to ABA Workplace Transport Categories

The Accrediting Bodies Association (ABA) are introducing some changes to the workplace transport categories on 19th January 2026.  There will be 3 new categories:

  • SP1 – Vertical Stock Picker (eg, Crown Work Assist Vehicle (WAV), Bravi LUI range)
  • E0 – Low Level Order Pickers (LLOP)
  • M4 – Pedestrian Multidirectional pallet Stackers (Combi Lift WR4/WR model)

The following sub categories will be removed but this will not affect what instructors can train on:

  • D2 & D3 – Reach Trucks
  • B4 – Counterbalance trucks
  • H3 – Tow Tractors
  • J2 & J4 – Industrial/Rough Terrain Trucks
  • J6 – Industrial/Rough Terrain Trucks
