We can provide an RTITB accredited course on Managing and Supervising Material Handling Equipment Operations which enables managers and supervisors to identify their responsibilities regarding MHE operations. This will cover all types of trucks, eg, counterbalance, reach, pedestrian stackers, pivot steer, etc.
This one day course, for a maximum of 8 people, will be held on customer premises and will enable managers and supervisors to identify and apply steps to minimise risks related to MHE in the workplace. Successful completion of the course will require candidates to complete a theory test and hazard perception test.
Attending this course will ensure that companies are compliant with the legal requirements in the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER). The requirement of PUWER is “Every employer shall ensure that any of his employees who supervises or manages the use of work equipment has received adequate training for purposes of health and safety, including training in the methods which may be adopted when using the work equipment, any risks which such use may entail and precautions to be taken.”
