Ladies raise money for Aspire Oxford – helping disadvantaged people back into work

On Saturday 22nd June, we held the second of our Ladies forklift experience sessions at our training centre at Apollo Park, near Banbury.   One lady enjoyed the first session so much that she came back for a second time on Saturday and was taught how to do some more advanced stacking on the reach truck.

We would like to thank all the ladies who attended this event and made it possible. The weather was perfect and we are delighted to have raised £160 for Aspire Oxford, a charity that helps disadvantaged groups of people back into work (https://www.aspireoxfordshire.org/)

Some of the comments from the ladies who attended on Saturday are as follows:

“Most enjoyable day.  Great experience.  I have a new appreciation for those who drive lift trucks as a profession”

“Had a brilliant time. Nick was very good at explaining procedures of operating the reach truck.  Would recommend”

“Really good fun, great staff and tutors.  Great communication, friendly, helpful and encouraging”

Our next ladies experience session will be on Saturday 28th September.  This will be to raise money for the Horton General Hospital (for more information visit https://www.hospitalcharity.co.uk/Pages/Category/horton)
