Our business is picking up

Due to continued growth, we are delighted to announce that we are opening a new purpose-built forklift truck driver training centre at Apollo Park, Wroxton, near Banbury.  It is anticipated that the new training centre will be up and running sometime during November.

Apollo Park is built on the former site of the North Oxfordshire Ironstone Company’s headquarters and railway locomotive yard.  The quarry opened in 1917 and worked heavily during the Second World War but was eventually closed in 1967.  When you enter the Park you will see an Iron Ore Tippler Wagon which has been restored by Apollo as a “respectful nod” to the park’s industrial heritage.  For more information on the history of the park visit http://apollopark.uk/history.htm

We will continue to train on customer premises, where required, as this is sometimes more convenient and can be tailored to a Company’s own equipment and working environment.  However, we will also be able to conduct training on our site on pedestrian stacker, reach and counterbalance trucks.

There are a number of advantages to training at our centre:

  • Ability to stack in excess of 5 metres in racking.
  • Uninterrupted training and no operational downtime.
  • Ability to stack using a variety of loads and stillages
  • Refuelling and recharging procedures including battery maintenance and gas bottle changing.
