Scissor Lift Training in Newark

On Saturday, we carried out refresher training on a scissor lift in Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire.

As the Road Transport Industry Training Board revised the minimum training durations last year, we were able to carry out refresher training for 4 people in 2 x 4 hour sessions, making it more cost effective for the customer as, prior to this, we were only able to train 3 people in one day.

Newark is a market town standing on the River Trent and the A1 – the route of the ancient Great North Road.

The town grew around Newark Castle,  now ruined, and a large market place, now lined with historic buildings. It was a centre for the wool and cloth trades.

The National Civil War Museum is worth a visit as is Newark Air Museum which houses a large collection of WW2 aircraft as well as some iconic post war jets such as the Gloucester Meteor, Canberra, English Electric Lightning and Avro Vulcan.
