Stackers Training celebrates it’s 20th birthday this year – 20 years since it was founded by Nick Marshall in early 2000.
Stackers has come a long way since then and now has a team of RTITB registered instructors and it’s own custom built training centre at Apollo Park, Wroxton, near Banbury.
Since moving into our new training centre in November 2017, we have been able to offer bespoke courses for individuals and provide courses during evenings and weekends to fit around work or family commitments.
Mechanical handling equipment training has evolved over the last 20 years to become more industry standardised. Four of the major accrediting bodies, RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT and NPORS joined together to form the Accrediting Bodies Association (ABA) to create a new way of working together for the benefit of workplace transport industry. The aim has been to improve training standards and provide clearer transparency for those using the accrediting bodies system. Recent improvements include changes to the theoretical, practical and pre-use inspection tests.
We continue to offer training on customer premises and whilst the majority of our customers are based in Oxfordshire, we’ve travelled to various locations throughout the UK to provide training (eg Kent, Cornwall, London, Suffolk).
Last year, we held three Ladies Forklift Experience sessions which were very popular and resulted in £720 being raised for local charities. We are planning to hold more of these experience sessions this year, the first one will be in April – date to be announced soon.
