Working with Aspire Oxford

On Monday this week we had a very interesting meeting with Aspire Oxford.

Aspire is a multi-award-winning employment charity and social enterprise.

They exist to help vulnerable people who are homeless, long-term unemployed, ex-offenders, people in recovery or those with poor mental well-being to move into the world of work.

We discussed with them how we could work with Aspire in the future to provide forklift training for some of the people in “disadvantaged groups” to enable them to find employment.

As paying for training courses is a major obstacle for some people, we are looking into ways to assist with this and hope to be able to do some fundraising for Aspire later this year.

There are a number of ways to become involved in supporting this charity or providing employment to those people who find their pathway into work through Aspire.  Aspire are holding an Employer Conference on 23^rd May to provide information to businesses on how they can recruit from disadvantaged groups.  To register your interest in this conference, please visit the link below.
