‘Colours of Banbury’

We are very proud to be sponsoring the ‘Colours of Banbury’ Origami Arts Project 2022.

This will be a suspended installation in St Mary’s Church Banbury to celebrate the Commonwealth Games taking place in Birmingham between July and August 2022.   It is an exciting and logistically challenging project. The installation will be made up of 5000 origami paper cranes hanging 7 metres or so from tensioned cable.  Local businesses, organisations and the wider community have been invited to assist folding the cranes using a specially created video tutorial.  For more information and to register your interest, click on the link below to the Banbury Business & Arts website.

Training in Staines

We visited a garden centre at Staines last week to provide refresher training on the counterbalance truck.

On the banks of the Thames and 15 miles from Central London, Staines is a vibrant market town and one of the liveliest towns in Surrey.

The closest town to Heathrow Airport and easily accessible from the M25, or 35 minutes by train from London it was the River Thames, and the town’s close proximity to London, which originally attracted Roman inhabitants to this town.

We also provided novice and refresher training on customer premises in Banbury and tow tractor training in Oxford last week, as well as counterbalance refresher training at our training centre.

Training in Chipping Norton

Last month we carried out training on customer premises in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.

Chipping Norton is a bustling market town occupying the highest point of Oxfordshire.   It is located around 18 miles northwest of Oxford on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Chipping Norton grew to wealth with the wool trade, and up to today it’s Bliss Tweed Mill is a major landmark. Our instructor, Tony, managed to get this photo of Bliss Mill.

We have also been training at our centre, near Banbury, and have been as far afield as Cornwall and Hartlepool.

Training in Cornwall

James, one of our instructors, spent a week in Cornwall earlier this month providing novice training on the counterbalance truck for a customer in Launceston.

During the evenings, he managed to explore the surrounding area and captured these beautiful photos at Crackington Haven.

Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Crackington Haven is a small coastal village on the north coast just west of Bude. Once a working harbour importing coal and limestone from Wales, which narrowly escaped industrial development in the 1800s, it is now a peaceful unspoiled, almost secret, cove.

James is returning to Cornwall next week for another week of novice training so we look forward to seeing more photos of his evening travels.

Counterbalance and Reach Truck Refreshers

Congratulations to Carl who successfully completed his counterbalance and reach truck refresher training last Sunday at our training centre near Banbury.

We can carry out refresher training on both trucks in one day.  This is on a one to one basis with the instructor and as it’s classed as “back to back” training, only one theory test is required.

Please contact us on 0800 024 8084 if you are interested in these courses.  They can be carried out on weekdays or weekends.

Another Successful Course

Congratulations to Luke who successfully completed his counterbalance novice course yesterday.  He undertook the course at our training centre at Apollo Park, Wroxton over the recent bank holiday weekend.

We’d like to thank Luke for his Google review, it’s always good to receive feedback and we look forward to seeing him again in the future for his reach truck conversion course.
